The Way of Joy Canteen

After many difficulties the Children’s Canteen opened on 30^th January, 2007.

The Canteen has the capacity to serve 60 meals per day six days a week but lack of funds has so far prevented this.

Inflation in Romania is soaring and as always, it is the poorest people who suffer the most.

It is also causing problems at the Canteen. Valentin Chirica and his staff are reviewing the situation to find the best way to feed as many children as possible.

These children are from very poor families.

We would all like to increase the number children receiving meals and the number of days on which meals are served.

Our fund-raising events continue but regular sponsorship is very important to guarantee continuity.
